Local Goods for Local Art

Aug. 30 2010

I currently have many new works hanging at the great little shop on Burnside known as Local Goods (2136 E. Burnside). Local Goods occupies the space that was once home to the Office skateboard shop. I love skating, so about 2 years ago I inquired about hanging some art at the (now defunct) Office skate shop. The weird and surly dudes in there just laughed at me and I went scurrying out the door with my head down. Ahem! Fukkers... But now, it seems fitting to me that I have art hanging in the same yet vastly different space. Local Goods is awesome and the folks there will treat you kindly if you pay them a visit. This piece below - View of Falls from Wobbly Peak - is hanging as well as so many more.

"Spires"; 2010 piece for the 1980 set. Found acrylic piece with re-mixed mixed media.

A Part of Sky to Kneel Under

Aug. 10 2010

Skyliner; 2010 summershine piece. 13" x 16", found image on re-purposed foamcore. Made in a trailer in front of my house, along with myriad other new works. Shows coming soon. Hopefully. The works look better when not sitting in front of your computer, right now. The works are made entirely by analog devices and dry human hands. The works are made with almost 100% recycled materials. The works are just these things, just these things that I like. Thank you for taking 3 minutes out of your day to read and look at this entirely electronic website. Thank you.

Architecture and Morality

Aug. 04 2010

OMD sang it so sweetly, but under this tree the days radiate forever. Rigid structures cast to the wayside and we fall into half slumbers in deep blue mindscapes. The days pass so fast, yet we need this tree to help shade our overactive minds. Stop texting, stop tweeting, stop viewing screens and spend some time under the Architecture Tree, 2010 piece for the 1971 set. 18" x 22", found sketch on foamcore with mixed media.
