Art Opening At Local Goods

Sep. 26 2010

I currently have several new works hanging at the fabulous little shop called Local Goods (2136 SE Burnside). Please stop by if you can muster the energy and enjoy some snacks and refreshments for the shop's 1st Friday Art Starethrough, this Friday, 10/01! Fire dancers and sword swallowers will commence sharply at 5:30 pm. Thereafter we dance all night, and we danced. Here is a piece designed to draw people in, maybe. Please look closely and become transfixed: "Form and Fracture", found image on re-purposed foamcore with mixed media.

This piece is dedicated to my frequent mid 1980s visits to this splendid arena. "Yosemite in Technicolor" 20" x 24" found image mounted on re-purposed foamcore with rad mixed media.

Days of Summer Closing Down

Sep. 06 2010

Once again the inevitable happens; summer's sun grows tired as the days slowly become shorter and late day shadows loom longer and ominous. These are reflective days, and in respect to such time patterns I dedicate this new piece to the shutting down of this season. Erase Transponder (nature in flux), 18" x 20", found tree photo mounted on re-purposed foamcore.
