Crafty Wonderland Super Holidaze Sale
Nov. 25 2011
The good folks over at Crafty Wonderland HQ have invited yours truly once again to be a part of their amazing super holiday sale on December 10th & 11th at the Oregon convention center.
This this time 'round I will be teaming up with my very talented friend, Marcus Fischer. Marc makes these amazing 1D animals entirely out of antiquated Letraset numbers and symbols. In much the same way, I use antiquated graphic tape to emphasize the found animal imagery in the majority of my work. The two of us finally got together and devised a way for our complimentary pieces to be seen and purchased together in one setting. What a better place than the CW Super Colossal Holiday Sale!
We will have a rather large area set up, complete with a customized wall for displaying the works. If you are in Portland that weekend please swing by and say "hello". As always, just follow the lines and patterns. You won't miss it.
Lynxscapade
Nov. 19 2011

The Magic Hour
Nov. 14 2011
The lightscene changes rapidly as night falls. It is dusk, that thin transient time where light softly gives way to dark. It is a time I used to cherish, a time that seemed magical and oddly comforting. Perhaps I feel this way from growing up in the desert. Dusk in the desert has a power that cannot be explained, it just feels a certain way. This piece below has nothing to do with the desert where I grew up, in does have to do with the Magic Hour, which is dusk, however. 11" x 14" Alaskan Mt. Ram caught in the Northern Flux. Taped and told. 2011.
Landcodes II
Nov. 03 2011
The landscape is once again analyzed. Landcodes II is from far away, close up, and high above. It is everything and then nothing at once. As Proust once ate his madeline and was instantly transported back to his childhood, I once smelled perfume from a passing waif and was taken back many years. Good thing the landcode was there to direct me back to the future, to the present tense. 11" x 14" found landscape bursting with the solar flares of radiant time. Available upon inquiry, but inquiries are few and far between these days. Perhaps this may change. Up to the mayngs, it is.
