ETA LA III
May. 27 2010
The time is here and now and once again I will be part of the exciting world of Enormous Tiny Art, aka, ETA! This very cool showing of artists working within the smaller aspect ratio of creative compulsion takes place in Los Angeles with an opening reception on June 12th with the show continuing until July 10th. If you find yerself in the LA area awash in the blinding Southern California light, enter the Living Room gallery in hip Silverlake and have yer burning retinas soothed by awesome enormous tiny art. I won't be there, but several of my pieces will be along with the old ghosts of Farley and Ritter. Please say hello to them for me.
Gather yerselves, for the Elk King has risen

In the time of animal to earth stance now forever breathes this lonely world, the Elk King is here, and rejoins the herds to propel forward thinking into days folding end on end. Elk King's light source remains enigmatic.

Much thanks, and then some more thanks
May. 06 2010
Just wanted to say thanks so much to the kind folks who stopped by my table at the recent Crafty Wonderland. It was sort of a weird but enjoyable weekend; vastly different from the holiday sale in December. I enjoyed the opportunity to speak with many people regarding my art and the process involved. I think I really made more connections with fellow artists and patrons this time more than I had in December. The holiday sale was a whirlwind of insanity, so I felt I couldn't spend as much time speaking with people. This time was different and much more placid. Portland is a strange and beautiful little city filled with amazing talent and diverse personalities. Only here could Crafty Wonderland be a reality in our odd little lives. Some say this city is like living in a bubble, and I have to agree on some level, but I'd much rather be stuck here than say Lancaster, CA. (the town I grew up in) where the cultural epicenter is the local 40 megaplex theater stationed next to a super sized Wal Mart store. Yuck. Anyway, peace and love and freedom and beards and handmade goods and art and bicycles and tight jeans and brewpubs and artists - lots of artists.
