ETA LA II
Nov. 18 2009
This past spring I was part of an awesome group show called Enormous Tiny Art, otherwise known as ETA. The show was held in Los Angeles and was a successful display of small works (10" x 10" max.) On Dec 4th I will be part of this group show once again. ETA LA II will be held at the Living Room gallery on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. If you happen to be in the Southlands during this time please try and swing by to see the varied (and tiny) works.
Second Time's a Charm
Nov. 08 2009
Two years ago I had some work hanging at the Gladstone Coffee House in Portland. The show was exciting and was the first time I actually had some of my Nature Paths and Wildlife Analysis pieces displayed. I currently have work once again hanging at Gladstone, and it seems the place has transformed bit in the two years since. It is still called Gladstone Coffee, but apparently they now specialize in really good pizza. Below is "Ibex Resonance" this piece is currently hanging at Gladstone. Stop by and grab a pie and gander at the werks if you are in the area.
Within the Cinders
Oct. 26 2009
A few weeks ago a nice man (and good artist) by the name of James Gallagher contacted me in regards to having some work hung at the Brooklyn, NY gallery known as Cinders. He was in the midst of curating a show there called "Cutters", which was to include several artists from all around the world working in the collage realm. I happily sent a few pieces and it looks as if the show went really well. The opening reception was on October 16th and the works will be on view until Nov. 15th. I wish I could have been there for the opening, looked like a good time!

Half & Half
Oct. 03 2009
I currently have a show up at the awesome little cafe in Portland known as Half & Half. The kind and gentle folks who work there are very friendly, and their Courier coffee is among the best in town. My early morning travels into work have seen me pass through Half & Half's doors many a time. I am excited and grateful to have my work hanging on their walls for the month of October. If you happen to be in town please stop by. Half & Half is located at 923 SW Oak St. in-between Reading Frenzy and Rocco's pizza.

Little Birds Outside and Beyond

Bluejay at the foot of a new day. This small bird appeared and collected the unseen light for a few short moments. Studied it for a while and made this piece below "Radiant Jay" 2009 mixed media on found jay image.
Made in Redmond, OR
Sep. 10 2009
Took a trip to the central environs of this state called Oregon. Redmond it was and still is. A desert swept and windy place not too different from the city I grew up in. Stayed in a hotel for a couple of days when not hiking along the ex-volcanic obsidian flows. What was gained from idle hotel time emerged as Redmond Buck 2009 mixed media on found image.
Memory Screens of Things Seen and Unseen
Sep. 04 2009
Happenstance to a new dimension. This time we were traveling under the great terrestrial umbrellas known as the cathedrals -- those massive ancient redwoods in the old growth forests. Keep these alive and keep them forever. Here this piece is titled "Cathedrals" 2009 mixed media on found image. Now dream in sequence and technicolor.
Woke up to find myself here

A dream slipped into reality and I could not slip out of reality, so it stayed with me for a while and this emerged "Spectral Falls" 2009 mixed media/collage piece.
