Days of Summer Closing Down
Sep. 06 2010
Once again the inevitable happens; summer's sun grows tired as the days slowly become shorter and late day shadows loom longer and ominous. These are reflective days, and in respect to such time patterns I dedicate this new piece to the shutting down of this season. Erase Transponder (nature in flux), 18" x 20", found tree photo mounted on re-purposed foamcore.
Local Goods for Local Art
Aug. 30 2010
I currently have many new works hanging at the great little shop on Burnside known as Local Goods (2136 E. Burnside). Local Goods occupies the space that was once home to the Office skateboard shop. I love skating, so about 2 years ago I inquired about hanging some art at the (now defunct) Office skate shop. The weird and surly dudes in there just laughed at me and I went scurrying out the door with my head down. Ahem! Fukkers... But now, it seems fitting to me that I have art hanging in the same yet vastly different space. Local Goods is awesome and the folks there will treat you kindly if you pay them a visit. This piece below - View of Falls from Wobbly Peak - is hanging as well as so many more.

"Spires"; 2010 piece for the 1980 set. Found acrylic piece with re-mixed mixed media.
A Part of Sky to Kneel Under
Aug. 10 2010
Skyliner; 2010 summershine piece. 13" x 16", found image on re-purposed foamcore. Made in a trailer in front of my house, along with myriad other new works. Shows coming soon. Hopefully. The works look better when not sitting in front of your computer, right now. The works are made entirely by analog devices and dry human hands. The works are made with almost 100% recycled materials. The works are just these things, just these things that I like. Thank you for taking 3 minutes out of your day to read and look at this entirely electronic website. Thank you.
Architecture and Morality
Aug. 04 2010
OMD sang it so sweetly, but under this tree the days radiate forever. Rigid structures cast to the wayside and we fall into half slumbers in deep blue mindscapes. The days pass so fast, yet we need this tree to help shade our overactive minds. Stop texting, stop tweeting, stop viewing screens and spend some time under the Architecture Tree, 2010 piece for the 1971 set. 18" x 22", found sketch on foamcore with mixed media.
Lapse (into the woods)
Jul. 31 2010
We see things we only choose to see. Sometimes within our point of view there is a glitch. This new piece, "Lapse", is dedicated to those special apparitions we only experience every once in a while. We know this to be true.
The Coast is Clear
Jul. 18 2010
Patterns appeared above a rocky coast, could be here or there or near you now. At any rate, the crashing waves cold and unforgiving were in a temporal low lateral shift when they emerged. A lone bird was suspended in flight, distant stations were conceived, simulacrum were established; were you here in 1978? I was young yet noticed this color constructed from hazy memories and parallel past lives. This is "The Sea Suspended", found image with mixed media, 24" x 30", 2010 and somehow still here.
Treescapes
Jul. 05 2010
Under a canopy of wonder and behind the arboretum of another day, yesterday or thereafter, or whatever...Treescapes! Well let's just say it is a re-purposed B&W redwood image with mixed media, 16" x 20", 2010 version. Look forward and behind whilst always keeping myopic viewpoints to a minimum.

A Place Seen by Many, Until Now
Jun. 27 2010
Caught a glimpse in the abermarle afterglow of a place millions have visited. But this time I saw it for a moment bathed in the psych beams of the otherworlds. 2010 summer piece, summer missing: Familiar Yet Somehow Different, found image with mixed media, 16" x 20".
